Where is the best location to mount my light?
Illumi-WELD was designed to be mounted in the chin of your helmet. Depending on the curvature of the chin from top to bottom, the optimal location is as close to the viewing lens as possible. The light’s beam is rectangular in shape. When in doubt the higher the better. See the Installation section for more details.
How long will the battery last?
Illumi-WELD uses only genuine LG F1L INR 3350 mAh batteries for safety and quality. A completely charged battery will last for 8-12 hours of use.
How long does it take to charge the battery?
The Illumi-WELD charger supplies a low constant current to the battery until the peak cell voltage of 4.2v is reached. It generally will take 10-12 hours to fully charge the battery. The gentler you charge and discharge lithium batteries, the longer they will last and maintain their charge capacity. Only charge Illumi-WELD batteries with the supplied charger.
What is W.A.D. (Weld Arc Detection)?
Illumi-WELD has a built in technology that detects UV radiation that is emitted during the welding process. In order to make your battery last longer Illumi-WELD will turn off automatically when you start to weld and back on again when you stop.
What shipping method do you use?
We ship our kits using USPS First Class shipping to keep the cost as low as possible for you. We process and ship orders the same day if your order was placed before 2:00PM EST. Orders placed after 2:00PM EST will be processed and shipped the following business day. Orders will be processed and shipped during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM EST, excluding holidays). Depending on your zone it could take 1-3 days to receive your kit.
